Duties
- Lead and supervise underground construction crews, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications
- Coordinate daily work schedules, monitor progress, and adjust plans to meet project deadlines using construction management software such as Primavera P6 and ProCore
- Review blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to interpret technical details accurately for team execution
- Enforce adherence to federal and state construction safety regulations, including OSHA standards, maintaining a safe work environment at all times
- Oversee quality control procedures, inspecting work for compliance with design standards and safety protocols
- Manage project documentation using Bluebeam for digital plan review and contract management tools to track progress and changes
- Supervise crew management activities including training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution to foster a motivated team atmosphere
Requirements
- Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial underground construction projects with strong supervisory skills
- Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards (OSHA), and quality assurance practices
- Proficiency with construction management software such as Primavera P6, Primavera P3, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other construction scheduling tools
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately
- Strong understanding of pipeline installation processes and underground infrastructure techniques
- Excellent managerial communication skills for coordinating teams and liaising with project stakeholders
- Experience managing budgets, project scheduling, and contract administration within a construction environment
- Hands-on experience with construction site safety management tools like Ohmmeter testing equipment for electrical systems inspection
