Topre America Corporation is seeking an experienced Press Supervisor to lead and develop Team Leaders and Production Operators within our Press Department. This position plays a key role in driving safety, quality, productivity, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who uses data, facts, and structured problem-solving to identify issues, improve processes, develop employees, and achieve department goals.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Team Leaders and Press Operators.
  • Promote teamwork and employee involvement in Kaizen, QCC, and Safety activities.
  • Establish a strong sense of urgency and accountability around department KPIs.
  • Support the Press Assistant Manager and Press Manager and assume additional leadership responsibilities when needed.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the Press Department.
  • Audit safety practices, standardized work, and 5S activities.
  • Monitor safety findings and ensure corrective actions and countermeasures are completed on time.
  • Support safety improvement activities and verify their effectiveness.
  • Monitor and audit standardized work and quality processes.
  • Ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively and on schedule.
  • Monitor change points and quality concerns.
  • Monitor production performance, efficiency, SPM trends, and scrap.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Respond quickly to abnormal production conditions and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and support SMED activities and other efficiency improvements.
  • Use KPI data to measure results and drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the department.
  • Apply Kaizen, Gorika, Gemba and 7 Forms of Waste principles.
  • Evaluate improvement opportunities and develop plans based on data and measurable results.
  • Support cost justification and ROI analysis for improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to lead, coach, and develop employees.
  • Experience working with KPIs, productivity metrics, and data-driven decision making.
  • Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of Kaizen, continuous improvement, 5S, PDCA, and standardized work preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge and manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to use Excel functions, formulas, graphs, and charts.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software is a plus.
