Job Description
Plant Safety Manager
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company-specific safety standards while leading safety training initiatives.
- Conduct both formal and informal safety inspections and monitor workplace safety.
- Lead accident investigations, complete root cause analyses, and handle related reporting.
- Collaborate with management and contractors to maintain high safety performance standards.
- Oversee health clinic interactions and manage the Medical Surveillance Program.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally related to safety, health, or science, or a high school diploma with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of Occupational Health and Safety experience in power plants or similar environments.
- Proficient in OSHA 1910 and 1926 regulations and have a working knowledge of safety protocols in industrial settings.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation is preferred.
- Physical capability to perform essential job functions, including walking, standing, and lifting.
- Well versed to LOTO, fall & rigging protection, etc
