Windmill Building Corp. is a growing custom and spec home builder committed to delivering quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee residential construction projects from groundbreaking through final completion.
Position Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating all phases of residential construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively manage subcontractors, suppliers, homeowners, and internal team members.
Responsibilities
· Manage multiple residential construction projects simultaneously.
· Schedule and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries.
· Conduct routine job site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with building plans and codes.
· Monitor project schedules and budgets while identifying and resolving issues proactively.
· Communicate project updates with homeowners, vendors, and company leadership.
· Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and OSHA compliant.
· Review construction plans, specifications, and change orders.
· Coordinate inspections and ensure projects pass all required building inspections.
· Maintain accurate project documentation, daily logs, and progress reports.
· Perform final walkthroughs and ensure homes are completed to company standards.
Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years of residential construction management experience preferred.
· Strong knowledge of residential building methods, codes, and construction processes.
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
· Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
· Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
· Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable.
Preferred Skills
· Experience with custom and speculative home construction.
· Strong customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
· Knowledge of estimating and budgeting.
· Ability to build positive relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
