Lead Carpenter – Spanish Required

Octametro LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter with proven expertise in custom fabrication, commercial cabinetry, and architectural millwork.

We are a Doral-based company specializing in the design and fabrication of custom trade show booths, retail kiosks, displays, counters, cabinets, and commercial fixtures.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise carpenters and carpenter helpers in the workshop.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure projects follow drawings, specifications, and production schedules.
• Read and accurately interpret shop drawings, measurements, plans, and fabrication specifications.
• Build custom cabinets, counters, walls, displays, trade show booths, kiosks, and other wood structures.
• Work with MDF, plywood, laminates, Formica, hardware, and other fabrication materials.
• Perform accurate measuring, cutting, assembly, hardware installation, laminating, and finishing work.
• Safely operate table saws, panel saws, routers, and other woodworking machinery and power tools.
• Identify and resolve fabrication or installation issues.
• Verify all dimensions, finishes, and quality standards before projects leave the workshop.
• Coordinate materials, tools, and production priorities with the workshop supervisor.
• Assist with on-site assembly and installation of booths, kiosks, and commercial fixtures when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop.

Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience in carpentry, cabinetmaking, custom fabrication, or architectural millwork is required.
• Previous experience leading or supervising carpenters and helpers is required.
• Must be able to manage projects from fabrication through final assembly.
• Must be able to read shop drawings, take accurate measurements, and calculate material requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of woodworking tools, machinery, hardware, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently, supervise a team, and meet production deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Must speak Spanish.
• Availability to work overtime and occasional weekends when required by project schedules.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
• Experience with trade show booth fabrication, commercial millwork, or retail fixtures is highly desirable.
• Experience working with solid surface materials such as Corian is a plus.
