Entry Level Microbiologist

Job Summary

As an Entry level Microbiologist, you will facilitate the testing of raw materials, finished products and water, using various microbial testing methods, as well as contributing to the overall upkeep of the laboratory.

Responsibilities

· Housekeeping for the Microbiology laboratory and Media preparation

· Glassware washing

· Perform QC microbiological testing, including water testing, Microbial Limits and Antimicrbial Effectiveness Testing

· Growth promotion of microbiological media

· Support QC operations such as inventory management, report generation

· Cleaning of laboratory incubators and refrigerators

· Daily verification of laboratory equipment

· Generates the associated sample documentation

· Prepares test reports

· Adhere to cGMP regulations and relevant company procedures

· Other responsibilities assigned or as needed

Qualifications

· Bachelor of Science in Biology or equivalent

· One (1) year experience in a GMP laboratory, or relevant coursework

· Must live within 1 hour of Hightstown, NJ

· Ability to work occasional weekend shifts

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Exceptionally strong attention to detail

· Ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines

· Working knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiology and GMPs preferred, but not required

· Strong aseptic technique

· Honest and dependable

· Ability to work independently

· Strong organizational and analytical skills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Proficiency with computers and Microsoft office

· Undergo a background check
