Stand Up Forklift Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Stand Up Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating stand-up forklifts and other heavy equipment to handle materials, manage inventory, and support shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive warehouse experience, mechanical knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety standards such as OSHA regulations. Your expertise in materials handling, order picking, and warehouse management systems will contribute significantly to maintaining smooth operations and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Key Responsibilities:

• Operate stand-up forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
• Utilize RF scanners for accurate order picking and inventory management
• Perform heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks, clamp trucks, or crane attachments
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes by loading and unloading trucks accurately
• Support warehouse organization by stacking pallets, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean work environment
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure compliance with safety protocols and operational procedures
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks
• Manage materials handling tasks involving heavy equipment operation for construction or industrial projects
• Ensure proper documentation of all movements using warehouse management systems
• Adhere strictly to OSHA standards to maintain a safe working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting
• Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, order picking, and shipping & receiving procedures
• Familiarity with heavy equipment such as cranes, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation and materials handling
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
• Prior experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar software
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods
• Warehouse or construction experience is highly desirable
• Valid certification for forklift operation; additional certifications for crane or other heavy equipment are a plus
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and team-oriented attitude
