2nd Shift Machine Operator Mon-Wed

Pridestaff is looking for 2nd shift Machine Operators for our client in Florence, KY 12hr shifts Mon-Wed

6 pm- 6 am (Must be able to train on 1st shift for 2-3 months) 6 am-6 pm Mon-Wed. Work 36hrs & get paid for 40hrs.
This machine operator sets up, runs, and monitors industrial production machinery used to manufacture coated foam abrasives and related products. The role involves calibrating equipment, loading raw materials, inspecting finished abrasive goods for quality, and performing basic troubleshooting to maintain safe, efficient manufacturing output.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Prepare, calibrate, and start production machinery in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Material Handling: Load raw foam, abrasive components, or rolls into semi-automated or automated production lines.
• Quality Control: Inspect output regularly using precision tools to catch tears, uneven coating, or dimensional flaws.
• Monitoring & Adjustment: Watch speed, tension, and feed rates during operation, making minor adjustments to keep waste low.
• Maintenance & Safety: Clear minor jams, clean workspace debris, perform routine upkeep, and follow all plant safety rules.
• Production Logging: Record output numbers, downtime, and scrap weights on shift logs. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years working as a machine operator in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Mechanical Skills: Basic aptitude to read technical instructions, use hand tools, and troubleshoot machine snags.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shift hours, bend, and lift moderate to heavy industrial materials.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on product specifications and workplace safety protocols.
