18.00-25.00/hour
Shift: 1st shift
Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday
6:00am - 430pm
Position Summary
Express Employment Professionals of Ottawa & Morris is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Horizontal Mill Operator for a local manufacturing company. In this role, you will operate CNC horizontal milling machines to produce quality parts according to customer specifications and production requirements. The ideal candidate will have machining experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate CNC horizontal milling machines safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
- Perform quality inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as needed.
- Change tooling and maintain machine productivity.
- Document production and quality information accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or machining experience preferred.
- Experience operating CNC equipment is a plus.
- Ability to read measuring instruments and follow specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed.
