Transportation CNA
Job Description
Perform all duties as assigned and in accordance with facility’s established policies and procedures, nursing care procedures and safety rules and regulations.
Inspect the vehicles each shift prior to the first transportation.
Assists in ensuring the facility vehicle’s maintenance is completed in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and as needed on a routine basis.
Perform all safety measures to ensure resident safety during transportations.
Ensures residents are transported in a safe manner, following all vehicle code requirements and posted guidelines.
Ensures residents are properly secured prior to and during transportation.
May assist resident with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
May assist residents with or performs activities of daily living for resident in accordance with care plans and established policies and procedures.
Coordinate transportation needs and requests with other departments in a courteous and timely manner.
Reports changes in a resident’s condition to the resident’s nurse and supervisor.
Perform other nursing duties as assigned by nursing management
Must be a current Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the state of Kansas
Must have current CPR for Health Care Providers
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must possess a clean driving record.
Must have excellent time management skills and be able to work within deadlines
Must be able to maintain a courteous, friendly, and helpful attitude with residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times
Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs
