As a PTA, you’ll work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to help residents improve their mobility, strength, function, and independence. Responsibilities include:

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and functional independence
• Assist residents with transfers, gait training, and functional mobility
• Monitor and document resident progress accurately and timely
• Educate residents and families on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in care planning and rehabilitation team meetings
• Follow treatment protocols, safety guidelines, and applicable state and federal regulations
• Promote a resident-centered approach to rehabilitation

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
• Current PTA certification and Pennsylvania license in good standing
• SNF, long-term care, or geriatric experience is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
