Candidates must be proficient in bending and running tubing, able to fabricate small runs of screw piping, and able to replace steam traps. Non-exempt role; reports to the foreman; performs a variety of routine duties with established policies.NO per diem or relocation available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in/near the area.40 hrs, overtime and call outs as neededSeeking skilled JourneymanInstrumentation Degree or NCCER Certification preferredMust be able to pass drug screen and background checkGeneral Job Description:Plans layout, fabricates, assembles, installs and repairs instruments, both electronic and pneumatic,including primary piping and tubing.Functional Requirements:Selects type and size of pipe and related material according to job specification; installs new,modifies or repairs existing installations; measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installsprimary piping and tubing; installs tubing, multitude bundles, junction boxes, instruments, bothelectronic and pneumatic, air piping and tubing; connects all piping and tubing to equipment; leaktests all piping and tubing installed; observes all installed instrument and systems to determinehazards, need for adjustment, relocation or replacement; may repair faulty equipment or systems;minimizes waste of material and avoids unsightly, hazardous or unreliable installations.Qualification Standards:Four (4) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)Written pre-employment qualification testPost-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluationHazard Communication orientation/testTurner Industries Group, LLC indoctrinationOSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87)Job site orientationJob site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots,etc.)Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearingprotection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or othersin the work placeTurner Industries is an equal employment opportunity employer.
