You will own sourcing, candidate assessment, and the overall candidate experience while leveraging emerging technologies and AI tools to drive efficiency and quality. This on-site position, based in Austin, TX, offers significant autonomy, the opportunity to influence recruiting processes, and the chance to contribute to the growth of a high-performing talent acquisition function.

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned requisitions from intake through offer acceptance, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery on hiring needs.
  • Partner with recruiting leadership to establish hiring strategies, success profiles, and search priorities for each role.
  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies, including market and company mapping, outreach campaigns, and proactive candidate engagement plans.
  • Monitor market response and pipeline health, adjusting sourcing and recruiting approaches as needed to achieve hiring goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, recruiting metrics, and process compliance, ensuring data integrity within the applicant tracking system.
  • Independently source, attract, and engage both passive and active candidates through multiple channels and platforms.
  • Conduct comprehensive candidate screenings to evaluate experience, qualifications, motivations, and overall role and culture fit.
  • Create clear and concise candidate summaries, interview evaluations, and hiring recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Present candidate insights, market trends, and search feedback to recruiting leadership and hiring teams to inform decision-making.
  • Manage candidate communications and engagement throughout the full hiring lifecycle, from initial outreach through offer and onboarding handoff.
  • Ensure a positive, professional, and consistent candidate experience at every stage of the process.
  • Gather, synthesize, and communicate candidate and market feedback to key stakeholders to refine search strategies and expectations.
  • Coordinate closely with hiring managers, leadership teams, and compensation partners throughout the offer process to align on terms and close candidates.
  • Utilize AI-enabled tools and modern recruiting technologies to improve efficiency in sourcing, screening, candidate research, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with recruiting team members on shared searches, talent pipelines, and broader talent initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas, feedback, and best practices that enhance recruiting effectiveness, process consistency, and candidate outcomes.
  • Support recruiting efforts for technical and specialized roles such as engineering, software, robotics, skilled trades, and construction/AEC.
  • Own stakeholder relationships for assigned roles from opportunity generation through hire, ensuring alignment and clear communication.

Essential Skills

  • 3–4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience in an in-house, agency, or executive search environment, including independent ownership of requisitions from sourcing through offer.
  • Demonstrated ability to source passive candidates self-sufficiently without dedicated sourcing support.
  • Strong candidate assessment skills with a proven track record of presenting calibrated candidate slates supported by clear rationale.
  • Proficiency with an applicant tracking system and modern sourcing platforms.
  • Experience recruiting for technical or specialized roles such as engineering, software, robotics, skilled trades, or construction/AEC.
  • Experience owning stakeholder relationships and opportunities from generation to hire.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent requisitions while maintaining high quality and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with hiring managers and leadership.
  • Comfort working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience with search-firm or executive-search training, particularly recruiting for technical or specialized roles such as engineering, software, robotics, skilled trades, or construction/AEC.
  • Hands-on experience using AI recruiting tools for screening, scorecards, and scheduling.
  • Experience operating within a structured recruiting playbook or Center of Excellence model.
  • Experience recruiting in high-growth startup environments.
  • Experience in manufacturing or production engineering recruiting, ideally within a startup context.
  • Familiarity with recruiting in manufacturing, engineering, building technology, and automation environments.
  • Desire for long-term growth, including potential conversion to a full-time role.
  • Ability to contribute to the evolution of recruiting processes and tools in a scaling organization.
