Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–7:00 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Required Hours: 37.5 hours/week
Weekend/Evening: Some evening and/or weekend coverage may be required based on program needs
On-Call: After-hours crisis coverage as needed
Pay: $35.60–$48.17/hr. (based on licensure and experience)
Mileage: Reimbursement available when personal vehicle is used for business travel
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Adult Outpatient Mental Health Supervisor to provide both clinical and administrative leadership within a community mental health program in Taylor, Michigan.
The Supervisor will oversee the clinical and administrative functioning of the program while supporting staff, ensuring quality patient care, managing program operations, and collaborating with clients, families, providers, and community resources.
-> Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative oversight for the adult outpatient mental health program.
- Supervise and support clinical staff to promote high-quality, ethical, and effective services.
- Monitor program operations and ensure services are delivered according to organizational standards and applicable requirements.
- Provide clinical guidance and consultation for complex client situations.
- Support staff in the assessment and treatment of adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Ensure competence in individual, family, and group counseling/treatment services.
- Assist staff with crisis assessment, intervention, and appropriate disposition.
- Provide after-hours coverage for crisis calls as needed.
- Collaborate with clients, families, healthcare providers, community organizations, and other service agencies.
- Connect clients with appropriate community resources and support services.
- Promote culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental care.
- Monitor documentation, clinical records, program data, and required reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Track program performance and assist with quality improvement initiatives.
- Support staff development, training, and ongoing professional growth.
- Participate in meetings, case consultations, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Maintain strong communication with program leadership and community partners.
- Work independently while maintaining effective collaboration with the broader behavioral health team.
- Perform other clinical, administrative, and supervisory duties as assigned.
-> Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling.
- Current, active Michigan professional license as one of the following:
- LMSW
- LPC
- LLP
- License must remain active, unrestricted, and free from disciplinary action.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience treating adults with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Demonstrated experience providing individual, family, and group mental health and/or substance use treatment.
- Strong clinical judgment and crisis-management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to track clinical/program data.
- Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to work respectfully with diverse populations.
- Ability to appropriately respond to and manage behavioral health crisis situations.
- Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
-> Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a community mental health setting.
- Knowledge of Southeast Michigan community resources.
- Previous clinical or administrative supervisory experience.
- Experience working with adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
- Experience in a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) or similar community-based behavioral health environment.
- Experience with crisis intervention and after-hours behavioral health support.
- Experience with program development, quality improvement, and staff training.

The standard schedule is:
Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM–7:00 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
The position requires 37.5 hours per week. Flexible scheduling may be available. Some evening and/or weekend hours may be required based on program needs.
The Supervisor will also provide after-hours coverage for crisis calls to support program staff as needed.
