Political Canvasser -- Must Have Reliable Vehicle

American Ballot Operations is hiring motivated Political Canvassers for paid, in-person field work across Northwest Ohio. This role supports voter-contact and civic-engagement programs by speaking with residents at their doors, sharing approved materials, and accurately recording outreach activity.

This is a flexible, hourly opportunity for dependable people who are comfortable working outdoors, communicating with the public, and representing a professional field operation.

What You’ll Do

• Canvass assigned neighborhoods and speak with voters at their homes
• Deliver campaign or civic-engagement materials and communicate approved messaging
• Collect and record outreach information using a smartphone app
• Travel independently to assigned turf and check in with a field supervisor
• Meet daily activity expectations while maintaining a professional, respectful attitude

Pay and Schedule

• $18–$25 per hour, based on experience and performance
• Flexible part-time schedules available; approximately 10–40 hours per week
• Paid training provided
• Mileage reimbursement may be available for approved work travel
• Opportunity to advance into team-lead and field-supervisor roles

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
• Must be able to reliably travel to assigned neighborhoods throughout the local area
• Must have a smartphone with an active data plan for reporting work activity
• Must be comfortable walking outdoors for extended periods, including in changing weather
• Must be reliable, punctual, professional, and comfortable speaking with people
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Preferred, but Not Required

• Prior political, campaign, door-to-door, sales, customer-service, or community-outreach experience
• Experience working independently and meeting daily performance goals
