Job Description
We are seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate is a caring, energetic, and detail-oriented professional who works well in a fast paced setting, and enjoys working with children and their families. This role involves both clinical and administrative duties, helping to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pediatricians and nurses in providing high-quality patient care.
- Prepare patients for examinations, including measuring vital signs, height, and weight.
- Administer vaccines, collect lab samples, and perform basic lab tests as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (Eclinical).
- Educate parents and patients about procedures, medications, and health guidelines.
- Assist in minor medical procedures and wound care.
- Handle front-desk tasks such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance.
- Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and examination rooms.
- Provide a warm, welcoming environment for children to feel at ease.
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required.
- Experience in a pediatric or family practice setting is preferred.
- CPR certification is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Compassionate, patient, and comfortable working with children of all ages.
- Bilingual (Spanish/other language) is a plus but not required.
- Proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology
- Ability to perform patient intake and vital sign assessment
