Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate is a caring, energetic, and detail-oriented professional who works well in a fast paced setting, and enjoys working with children and their families. This role involves both clinical and administrative duties, helping to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pediatricians and nurses in providing high-quality patient care.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including measuring vital signs, height, and weight.
  • Administer vaccines, collect lab samples, and perform basic lab tests as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (Eclinical).
  • Educate parents and patients about procedures, medications, and health guidelines.
  • Assist in minor medical procedures and wound care.
  • Handle front-desk tasks such as scheduling appointments and verifying insurance.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and examination rooms.
  • Provide a warm, welcoming environment for children to feel at ease.


Qualifications:

  • Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required.
  • Experience in a pediatric or family practice setting is preferred.
  • CPR certification is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Compassionate, patient, and comfortable working with children of all ages.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/other language) is a plus but not required.
  • Proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology
  • Ability to perform patient intake and vital sign assessment
