Commercial AV & Security Systems Installer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commercial AV & Security Systems Installer with a strong networking background. This role focuses on the installation, configuration, and integration of enterprise-grade technology. You will work directly with industry-leading platforms including Extron, Axis, and ICT to deliver robust systems for commercial clients

Key Responsibilities

System Installation: Mount, wire, and deploy commercial Extron AV control systems, Axis IP surveillance cameras, and ICT (Protege) access control panels.

Network Infrastructure: Configure enterprise-grade routers, managed switches, and access points. Set up VLANs, assign static IPs, and manage PoE budgets for all connected devices.

Programming & Commissioning: Load Extron configurations, set up Axis VMS software, and program ICT schedules, user access groups, and lock logic.

Support & Diagnostics: Troubleshoot complex IP networking bottlenecks, hardware faults, and signal flow issues to ensure 100% uptime before client handover

Required Qualifications

Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in commercial low-voltage, security, or AV integration.

Network Proficiency: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnets, DHCP, port forwarding, and managed switch configuration.

Platform Expertise: Prior experience installing or configuring Extron, Axis, and ICT Protege (WX or GX) platforms.

Physical & Logistics: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders/scaffolding, and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
