Schedule Flexibility: Open to full-time or part-time arrangements based on candidate qualifications and experience. (Part-time: 20–25 hrs/wk | Full-time: 35–40 hrs/wk)

General requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (education, social work, psychology, nursing, or related field preferred)
  • Adoption experience preferred but not required
  • Strong financial and budget management skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and execute strategy
  • Experience with fundraising and donor relations
  • Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking skills
  • High integrity, transparency, and emotional maturity
  • Ability to clearly articulate and advance the mission and vision of Hope Center
  • Active member of a local church.

Position Overview

The Executive Director serves as the chief executive of Hope Center and is responsible for the organization's overall administration, strategic direction, financial health, and public presence. This role works closely with the Board of Directors to advance the mission, strengthen sustainability, and lead staff with clarity and integrity.

The Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Leadership & Board Partnership

  • Lead the organization in alignment with Hope Center’s mission, vision, and Statement of Faith
  • Partner closely with the Board of Directors to support governance, strategy, and accountability
  • Provide timely, accurate reporting on agency operations, needs, and opportunities
  • Conduct regular Board meetings and relevant committee meetings

Financial Oversight & Fundraising

  • Develop and manage the annual budget and ensure fiscal integrity
  • Provide monthly and annual financial reports to the Board
  • Lead and participate in fundraising efforts, donor development, and community partnerships
  • Ensure adequate resources to sustain and grow Hope Center’s programs

Strategy, Mission & Community Presence

  • Guide strategic planning to ensure long-term mission effectiveness
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for Hope Center to donors, churches, media, and the public
  • Strengthen community relationships with churches, pregnancy resource centers, and partner organizations
  • Increase organizational visibility and trust throughout the region

Organizational Operations & Staff Leadership

  • Oversee daily operations of the agency
  • Hire, train, supervise, and retain qualified staff
  • Foster a healthy, Christ-centered staff culture
  • Ensure compliance with all state regulations, including required reporting to Tennessee Department of Children’s Services
  • Review and approve contracts and agreements on behalf of the organization
