Extrusion Technician - Plastics Manufacturing
1st Shit - Full Time Position
Join a plastics manufacturer producing wire, cable, and braided cable products. You'll own the day-to-day operation and optimization of extrusion lines — setting parameters, dialing in quality, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
What you'll do
- Operate and monitor extrusion lines for wire, cable, and braided cable production
- Set up and adjust extrusion parameters daily, including temperature, speed, and related process controls
- Set and optimize welding machine parameters to ensure consistent product quality
- Oversee cable pulling operations to maintain dimensional and mechanical specifications
- Work with one primary plastic compound (maximum of two types)
What we're looking for
- Experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing (required for extrusion specialist role)
- Knowledge of welding equipment and parameter adjustment
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to adjust process parameters and optimize production performance
