RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists the engineer of record with design approaches for HVAC, plumbing and fire suppression systems
- Performs data collection and/or field verification
- Produces detailed HVAC, plumbing and fire suppression engineering drawings, based on applicable codes and standards
- Works with a team to ensure disciplines are coordinated and delivered prior to project deadlines
- Coordinates with client, internal design team members, project managers
- Reviews shop drawings and product data
- Attends regularly scheduled Owner-Architect-Contractor meetings and calls
- Performs on-site observations during construction
- Coordinates design requirements with contractors and equipment suppliers
- Performs final punch-list site visits and generates reports
- Participates in PMC University continuing education program as a presenter and student
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited engineering program
- Passing score on the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam/Licensed E.I.T. is desirable, but not required
- Self-performing and capable of learning design tasks with oversight from a professional engineer
- Presents a positive, team-focused attitude to both clients and peers
- Demonstrates attention to detail and organizational and time management skills
- Able to work independently on multiple projects in a given time period
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite
- Autodesk Revit experience is desirable, but not required
- Previous experience is desirable, but not required
