Amerigo’s Grille in The Woodlands is seeking an experienced Pasta Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing pasta dishes, sauces, and sauté items in an upscale or fine dining restaurant environment.

This position requires someone who takes pride in food quality, consistency, and presentation, and who works as part of a professional kitchen team. You must be able to work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining Amerigo’s standards for quality and presentation.

• Prepare and cook pasta dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards

• Prepare sauces, ingredients, garnishes, and other items needed for the pasta station

• Properly cook and finish pasta dishes to ensure consistent quality, flavor, and presentation

• Set up, stock, and maintain the pasta and sauté station before and during service

• Coordinate with other kitchen stations to ensure orders are prepared accurately and on time

• Follow proper portioning and recipe standards

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation

• Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, storage, and temperature-control procedures

• Monitor ingredient freshness and communicate preparation or inventory needs

• Minimize food waste and properly handle ingredients

• Assist with kitchen preparation and other duties as needed

• Work closely with the Chef and kitchen team to provide a consistent, high-quality dining experience

• Previous experience as a Pasta Cook, Sauté Cook, or Line Cook

• Experience in an Italian, upscale, or fine dining restaurant preferred

• Knowledge of pasta preparation, sauces, sauté techniques, and proper cooking procedures

• Ability to handle multiple orders in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Strong attention to quality, consistency, and presentation

• Dependable, punctual, organized, and hardworking

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures
