Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely claims for reimbursement to various payors, including VA, LTC, Private pay, Medicaid, and Medicare

  • Manage and track accounts receivable, ensuring prompt payment and follow-up on outstanding balances

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient billing and accounts receivable

  • Collaborate with our team to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting, as needed

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in billing regulations, laws, and industry standards

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including patients, payors, and staff members

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of full-time experience as a billing specialist for a non-skilled home care agency

  • Proven expertise in VA, LTC, Private pay, Medicaid, and Medicare billing and accounts receivable management

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in a related field preferred
