About This Role

Sunnyside Preschool & Childcare is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Full-Time Early Childhood Teacher to join our team! If you're passionate about helping young children learn and grow while working alongside a supportive team, we'd love to meet you. We believe every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment where they can explore, play, and build confidence. Our teachers create meaningful relationships with children and families while providing engaging learning experiences each day.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • 40 hours per week
  • Rotating weekday off


What You'll Do

  • Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
  • Create a safe, positive, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Observe and document children's growth and development.
  • Communicate daily with families through our parent communication app and in person.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to provide exceptional care and education.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets Washington State licensing and health standards.
  • Assist with diapering, toileting, meals, and other daily care routines.
  • Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations.


Requirements

  • Must be dependable and able to maintain consistent attendance.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Patient, reliable, flexible, and able to multitask.
  • Meet all Washington State licensing requirements for childcare employees.
  • Current Child CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before employment).
  • Washington State Child Care Basics (30-hour course) completed or ability to complete as required.
  • Current negative TB test (or ability to obtain before employment).


Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a licensed childcare or preschool setting.
  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Experience communicating with families and documenting children's progress.
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a passion for early childhood education.
