Position Summary

The Director of Parish Operations serves as the operational leader of the parish, partnering closely with the Rector, staff, volunteers, and parish leaders to ensure excellent day-to-day operations while strengthening the infrastructure that supports Holy Comforter's mission.

Operations & Administration

%CF; Oversee daily administrative and operational functions.

%CF; Coordinate calendars, facilities, office systems, and workflows.

%CF; Manage vendors, technology resources, contracts, and records.

%CF; Develop systems that improve parish operations.

%CF; Some after-hours and weekend availability may be required

Staff & Volunteer Leadership

%CF; Supervise Communications Manager, Bookkeeper, and designated volunteers.

%CF; Support onboarding and foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture.

Communications & Parish Support

%CF; Coordinate parish communications and publication workflows.

%CF; Support hospitality, newcomer engagement, and major parish events.

Membership, Compliance & Facilities

%CF; Maintain membership records and diocesan reporting.

%CF; Coordinate Safe Church compliance.

%CF; Serve as liaison for facilities, maintenance, rentals, and vendors.

Qualifications

Required

%CF; Professionalism and confidentiality

%CF; Proficiency with office technology

Preferred

%CF; Experience in small business, church, nonprofit, or operations leadership

%CF; Staff supervision and volunteer coordination

%CF; Project and vendor management

%CF; Familiarity with Episcopal Church practices
