Job Description
Addison Group is partnering with our client to identify an experienced Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager. This position is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of commercial lending relationships, evaluating credit quality, monitoring portfolio performance, and helping ensure compliance with internal lending standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial credit analysis, portfolio management, and risk assessment, with the ability to collaborate across teams while supporting sound lending practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee an assigned portfolio of commercial loans, monitoring overall credit quality and portfolio performance.
- Maintain accurate risk assessments and recommend updates based on financial performance or changing business conditions.
- Partner with relationship managers to support renewals, modifications, and other servicing needs for existing credit relationships.
- Evaluate loan structures, terms, and covenant requirements to promote effective risk management.
- Track borrower financial reporting and covenant compliance, following up as needed to obtain required information.
- Maintain organized and accurate loan documentation while supporting regulatory and internal audit requirements.
- Monitor higher-risk relationships, recommend appropriate action plans, and assist in managing challenged credits.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support efficient loan administration and portfolio management.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and portfolio oversight.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on commercial credit analysis and portfolio management best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Five or more years of experience in commercial lending, credit analysis, or commercial loan portfolio management.
- Strong ability to analyze business financial statements and evaluate commercial credit risk.
- Working knowledge of commercial lending products, including commercial real estate and commercial & industrial lending.
- Experience interpreting loan documentation, monitoring financial covenants, and managing portfolio risk.
- Experience supporting complex or higher-risk commercial credit relationships is preferred.
