For additional information about our company, visit our website at www.fisherind.comPOSITION SCOPE The Motor Grader Operator is responsible for safely operating a motor grader to perform rough and finish grading on roads, building pads, haul roads, and other heavy civil construction projects.PRIMARY DUTIESOperate a motor grader to grade, level, and shape earth, gravel, and aggregate materialsPerform rough and finish grading to project specificationsRead grade stakes, site plans, and survey markingsUtilize GPS machine control systems when equippedConduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needsWork closely with grade checkers, survey crews, and other operatorsFollow all company safety policies and proceduresAssist with other duties as assignedTravel may be requiredOvernight travel may be requiredExtended hours and weekend work may be requiredREQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or GED preferredMinimum 2 years of motor grader operating experience preferredHeavy civil construction or road construction experience preferredValid driver's license requiredKnowledge of grading techniques and grade controlAbility to read and interpret plans and grade stakesStrong commitment to safetyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsFisher Industries is an Equal Opportunity Employer.We are a drug-free work environment requiring pre-employment and random drug testing.
