Host & Food Runner

The River Merchant is seeking a dependable, customer-service-oriented individual to join our team in a combined Host and Food Runner role. Located at 911 North Mantua Street in Kent, OH, we are a premier riverfront restaurant dedicated to delivering a memorable dining experience.

This position begins at the host stand with opportunities to cross-train for food running and bar back roles.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Greeting guests and managing the waitlist
- Answering phones and processing carryout orders
- Checking out retail items from our beer and wine market
- Assisting with table maintenance (clearing and resetting)
- Supporting the team with side tasks like cleaning menus, polishing glassware and rolling silverware

Qualifications:

- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Weekday availability is required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Reliable transportation to our Kent, OH location

Available Shift Times:

- 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
