Position Summary: The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations by receiving, moving, storing, picking, and staging materials accurately and safely. This entry-level position works closely with Shipping & Receiving and other departments to ensure materials are available where and when needed. The Material Handler is expected to maintain accurate inventory, follow established safety procedures, and contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments for accuracy and visible damage.
- Verify materials against packing slips, purchase orders, and other receiving documentation.
- Move, stock, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, label, and stage materials for production or shipment.
- Deliver materials to appropriate departments or work areas as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory and material movement records.
- Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory.
- Operate pallet jacks, carts, and other material-handling equipment safely; operate forklifts when trained and authorized.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Report damaged materials, inventory discrepancies, and safety concerns promptly.
- Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Skills:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse or material-handling experience preferred but not required.
- Basic math, counting, and measurement skills.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer/data-entry skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to organize and prioritize assigned work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness and ability to learn inventory systems, warehouse procedures, and material-handling equipment.
· Forklift experience/certification preferred but not required; training may be provided.

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements:
- Work is primarily performed in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday.
- Frequently bend, stoop, squat, reach, twist, push, and pull while performing assigned duties.
- Regularly lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds, with assistance or appropriate equipment when necessary.
- Ability to use carts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Regular and repetitive use of hands, wrists, and arms for handling materials and packages.
- Work around forklifts, machinery, and other warehouse equipment.
- May be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and other conditions typical of a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
- Required to wear appropriate PPE based on the work being performed.
- May be required to work overtime or adjusted schedules based on operational needs.
