Licensed Pharmacy Care Coordinator

LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS

• Active Pharmacy Technician License or Certification valid in at least one state required

• 1+ years of call center experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or member support

REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiarity with prescription benefit programs and patient assistance processes
  • Strong communication, customer service, organization, and attention to detail
  • Ability to resolve issues efficiently and deliver patient-centered solutions in a fast-paced environment

CLINICAL SKILL SET

• Prescription optimization and medication access support

• Patient assistance program coordination

• Prescription benefit program support

• Pharmacy and prescriber coordination

• Patient/member communication

• Medication approval and fulfillment tracking

• Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems

• Pharmacy management software

• Salesforce or similar CRM systems

• Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Compensation & Schedule:

Pay: $21/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10AM-7PM

Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8AM-5PM (first 4 weeks)

ROLE IMPACT

  • Supports a prescription optimization program by helping members access essential medications efficiently and affordably
  • This role coordinates with patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and pharmaceutical assistance programs to improve medication access and deliver a positive patient experience
  • Success requires compassionate communication, accurate documentation, and timely resolution of medication support needs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the primary contact for members needing medication support or patient assistance.

• Coordinate with prescribers, pharmacies, and patient assistance programs to obtain medication approvals and support timely fulfillment.

• Manage inbound and outbound communications while maintaining program and patient privacy standards.

• Track and document member interactions, follow up on open requests, and drive issues through resolution.

• Collaborate with internal teams to improve medication access outcomes and deliver high-quality member service.
