About the Role:
As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and enjoyable environment for our residents. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting in the planning, organizing, and implementation of activities and programs that cater to the interests and needs of our residents
Collaborating with the Activities Director to develop and lead recreational activities, such as arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities
Encouraging socialization and participation among residents
Maintaining accurate records and reports of activities and programs
Assisting with daily living tasks and providing general support to residents
Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of daily activities and programs
Participate in resident assessments and interviews to understand their interests and needs
Lead group activities and provide one-on-one support to residents
Maintain a clean and organized activity area
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in long-term care or activities coordination preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
