Slow Hand is an upscale American comfort restaurant with a focus on scratch cooking and exceptional cocktails. Located in the borough of West Chester, PA, we are looking for a motivated individual who is dedicated, energetic, and excited to learn and grow. We provide a workspace that promotes teamwork, organization, and a drive to provide exceptional food with a positive and professional attitude. We encourage collaboration and creativity. Our kitchen is open 6 days a week serving from 4 pm until 10pm Tuesday through Friday , 2 pm -10 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

As a Line Cook at Slow Hand, you will:

• Cook orders in a timely manner, and plate as guided by the Chef
• Complete all tasks on the daily prep list, and help others to do the same
• Communicate with others working the line
• Communicate orders, prep, and counts to the Chef
• Break down stations at end of shift
• Ensure food safety standards and regulations are upheld at all times

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY

Position Requirements:

• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment
• Must be reliable, organized, efficient, courteous and professional
• Able to work with and lift at least 50 lbs
• Strong work ethic
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively
• Must be flexible with work schedules

Other Beneficial Skills:

• Experience and Training in a Professional Restaurant Kitchen (+6 Months)
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines
• Adaptable to high traffic and kitchen volume
• Knife Skills
• Critical and preemptive thinking
