The Learning Experience is looking for a caring, dependable, and organized Preschool Cook to join our team as an ambassador of happiness. You will play an important role in our center by preparing healthy meals and snacks for children while helping create a safe, happy, and welcoming environment each day.

You will:

• Plan, prepare, and cook healthy meals and snacks for preschool children that meet proper nutritional requirements.
• Follow the center’s approved menu and help make updates or adjustments when needed.
• Order food and supplies through the center’s approved vendor website.
• Run occasional errands to pick up needed items such as milk, groceries, or kitchen supplies.
• Maintain and track food allergies for each child, ensuring meals are prepared and delivered safely.
• Communicate allergy information clearly to teachers daily with each food delivery.
• Follow proper food safety, handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and in compliance with childcare licensing standards.
• Work with the Center Leadership team to purchase food and supplies and maintain required inventory records.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude toward children, parents, and staff.
• Be flexible and adaptable to the daily needs of a busy childcare center.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working around children, takes pride in keeping the kitchen safe and organized, and is dependable in helping our center run smoothly each day.

If you have:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
• A food handling certificate or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
• The ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
