The Registered Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing oral hygiene services, preventive care, periodontal maintenance, and restorative support to patients of the health center. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide dental cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventive servicesPerform oral health assessments, charting, and diagnostic supportAssist with restorative procedures and chairside dutiesEducate patients on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and preventive careMaintain infection control and aseptic techniquesDocument patient information in electronic dental recordsFollow HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standardsSupport overall clinic workflow and patient experienceQualificationsGraduate from an accredited Dental Hygiene programCurrent state license to practice Dental HygieneProficient in chairside assisting and patient careStrong understanding of dental terminology and medical recordsExperience with aseptic techniques and patient assessmentUnderstanding of HIPAA regulations and medical coding practicesStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a clinical environmentNorthland Health Centers Mission - Delivering patient centered, accessible, quality-driven, medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare, to all generations to strengthen the health status in the communities we serve, regardless of the ability to pay.Northland Health Centers has a Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
