Pre-Employment Screening & Federal Compliance: Casa Angelica is a certified Intermediate Care Facility funded through federal Medicaid programs. To ensure the safety of our residents and maintain compliance with federal funding requirements, employment is strictly contingent upon passing a pre-employment drug screening. Because we operate under federal regulations, a positive test result for THC/cannabis will disqualify an applicant from employment, regardless of New Mexico's state laws regarding recreational or medical cannabis use.
Compensation:$18 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe and timely transportation of residents to medical appointments, community outings, and other scheduled activities.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle, conducting regular checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Collaborate with caregivers and medical staff to coordinate transportation schedules and accommodate residents' needs.
- Provide a warm and welcoming environment for residents during transit, fostering a sense of comfort and security.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing the safety of residents and the community.
- Assist residents in boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensuring accessibility and support for all.
- Communicate effectively with team members and families, providing updates on transportation schedules and any changes that may arise.
Qualifications:
- Experience in driving passenger vehicles, with a clean driving record.
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, and team members.
- Proven track record of punctuality and reliability in a professional setting.
- Familiarity with Albuquerque's roadways and traffic patterns, ensuring efficient travel routes.
- Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
- Strong organizational skills to manage transportation schedules and coordinate with medical staff.
- Commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all passengers during transit.
