You'll be responsible for performing sonographic exams, assisting physicians with procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout their experience.Key responsibilities include:Performing diagnostic ultrasound exams as ordered by physiciansOperating and maintaining sonographic equipmentAssisting with invasive procedures using sterile techniquesPreparing preliminary reports and communicating findings as neededMaintaining high standards of medical ethics and patient careAssisting with department operations including scheduling, supplies, and equipment maintenanceSupporting the training and mentoring of new employees and internsWhat We're Looking ForWe're seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated professional who is committed to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.Required:Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography programActive ARDMS certification in appropriate specialtiesBLS certification (or obtained within 90 days of hire)At least 1 year of full-time sonography experienceStrong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and sonographic principlesExcellent communication and independent judgment skillsPhysical DemandsThis role requires:Physical and emotional stamina to meet patient and departmental needsStrength to move heavy equipment (up to ~500 lbs), assist in patient transfers, and maintain arm positions during scanningAbility to safely maneuver wheelchairs, stretchers, and assist patients as neededExposure CategoryCategory I - Tasks involve direct exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Proper PPE and infection control training are provided to ensure safety.
