- 8–10 years of heavy industrial mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in a steel mill or melt shop
- Formal training and strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience supervising, training, evaluating, and holding skilled maintenance employees accountable.
- Demonstrated success with equipment breakdowns, preventive maintenance, rebuilding, troubleshooting, and downtime reduction.
- Working knowledge of melt shop equipment such as overhead cranes, scrap-handling systems, PLC-supported equipment, HVAC, and related service equipment.
