Location: Houston, TX 77066
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to join our team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position combines warehouse operations, data entry, customer service, and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience, strong computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry related to warehouse operations and customer orders.
  • Provide professional customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting with order and shipment questions.
  • Monitor and maintain incoming and outgoing emails, ensuring requests are addressed and followed up on promptly.
  • Expedite work orders and communicate updates regarding order status, shipments, and warehouse activity.
  • Open boxes/packages and verify contents against Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing lists, and other shipping documentation.
  • Assist with receiving, shipping, inventory, and general warehouse coordination activities.
  • Use RF scanners and other warehouse technology to track inventory and materials.
  • Enter and maintain accurate information in computer systems and spreadsheets.
  • Review documents for accuracy and identify discrepancies or missing information.
  • Communicate with warehouse personnel, customers, vendors, and internal departments as needed.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse policies.
  • Perform other warehouse and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse experience is required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite experience, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide professional customer service.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read and understand shipping documents, including BOLs.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience using an RF Scanner is a significant plus.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory software.
  • Previous experience coordinating work orders, shipments, or logistics activities.
Work Environment
This is a warehouse-based position. The Warehouse Coordinator will work inside the warehouse rather than in a traditional climate-controlled office environment. When the warehouse is hot, you will be working in the heat; when it is cold, you will be working in the cold. The position requires employees to be comfortable working in a warehouse setting and occasionally opening boxes, checking shipments, and moving around the warehouse as needed.
