What You’ll Do- Interpret advanced ventilation assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches—then convert them into accurate layouts and cut lists
- Fabricate piece parts in the shop and assemble them to specification with consistent quality
- Install foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, and shipboard furniture on board
- Apply OSHA shipbuilding safety practices while working in a physically demanding environment
- Three years as a first-class Sheet Metal Worker, including shipboard installation and sheet metal fabrication shop work
- Mastery of fractional/decimal measurements with a ruler and dependable layout (layoff) skills
- Hands-on use of small tools (electric drills, grinders, rivet guns) and shop equipment (drill press, press brake, shears)
- Marine experience preferred
- Aircraft, industrial, or commercial sheet metal experience considered equivalent and encouraged
- Rigger/material handling experience

If you’re driven by accuracy, craftsmanship, and safe execution, this is where your skills make a visible impact on every hull and compartment you touch.
