Director of Social Services (DSS) Duties

• Oversee the social services department and daily psychosocial care of residents

• Complete social service assessments and participate in care planning

• Support residents and families through admissions, transitions, and discharge planning

• Advocate for resident rights and coordinate community resources

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on resident wellbeing

• Salary: $85,000–$95,000 per year

Director of Social Services (DSS) Qualifications

• Experience as a Director of Social Services (DSS) or a few years of experience as a Social Worker

• Must have experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) / long-term care (LTC) setting
