Position Summary:
Wright Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activity Director to lead our resident-centered activities program. This role is responsible for creating a meaningful and engaging environment that supports the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents in both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive activities program in accordance with state and federal regulations

  • Plan and maintain a monthly activity calendar that includes group and individualized programming

  • Conduct resident assessments to identify interests, needs, and abilities, and adjust programming accordingly

  • Facilitate a variety of activities including social events, therapeutic programs, outings, and holiday celebrations

  • Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to support individualized care plans

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of participation and care plan updates

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including survey readiness

  • Recruit, train, and supervise activity staff and volunteers

  • Manage department budget, supplies, and community partnerships

  • Foster a warm, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere for residents and families

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in activities programming in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting required

  • Knowledge of CMS guidelines and state regulations related to activities in long-term care

  • Activity Director Certification (ADC) or eligibility preferred

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

  • Ability to engage residents with varying cognitive and physical abilities
