What You'll Do
Clean and disinfect resident rooms daily including floors, furniture, bathrooms, and high-touch surfaces
Change bed linens and restock bathroom supplies in resident rooms
Perform terminal cleaning of resident rooms following discharge per infection control protocols
Clean and disinfect all common areas including hallways, dining rooms, lounges, and restrooms
Mop, sweep, vacuum, and maintain all floor surfaces throughout the facility
Disinfect high-touch surfaces including door handles, handrails, and elevator buttons frequently
Follow isolation precaution cleaning protocols for residents on contact or droplet precautions
Handle and dispose of soiled linens and waste per OSHA and facility safety standards
Place wet floor signs immediately when cleaning to prevent resident and staff falls
Complete cleaning logs and housekeeping assignment sheets each shift
Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred — will consider all applicants
Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience a plus — not required
Knowledge of basic cleaning and infection control practices preferred
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions including isolation protocols
Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and takes pride in a clean environment
Compassionate and respectful when working in or near resident living areas
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 to 50 lbs throughout the shift
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
