Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) – Ultrasound Tech | Everett, Washington, United States
Start Date: 09/14/2026 | Duration: 8 weeks | Weekly pay: $1,843–$1,953 per week | Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks | Shift: 3x12 Nights
This travel assignment is in a hospital-based diagnostic ultrasound unit within a Level II trauma center setting and includes both inpatient and outpatient imaging duties.

- Floating expectation: may float to another nearby campus for STAT exams
- Holidays: willing to work 3 of 5 holidays as required
- Travel requirements: active compact-state licensure in hand at submission; 2 professional references required
Responsibilities
- Perform a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound exams including OB/GYN, abdominal, breast, vascular, thyroid, neonatal/pediatric, and specialty studies
- Provide ED/portable ultrasound and NICU/pediatric imaging support; assist with guided procedures (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis) as needed
- Operate ultrasound equipment, optimize image quality, and ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging
- Document findings and preliminary results in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and communicate results to clinicians in a timely manner
- Collaborate with radiology and clinical teams; participate in room setup, patient positioning, and throughput management
- Maintain equipment and room cleanliness, adhere to infection control and safety protocols, and participate in quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Licensure: Current, active compact-state license must be in hand at submission
- Certifications: ARDMS and BLS required; preferred ARDMS (Abdominal) and ARDMS (OB/GYN); ARRT-S considered
- Experience: Minimum 1 year ultrasound experience; prior community hospital experience and trauma Level I exposure listed as required
- Education: Not specified in current notes
- EHR: EPIC experience required
- References: 2 references covering at least 1 year of work within the last 3 years
- Availability: Ability to work nights, weekends; orientation completion prior to start
- Additional: Must be willing to float to nearby campus for STAT studies as needed
