Summary
AVASO Federal Solutions is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support the day-to-day Human Resources operations for our U.S. & International federal workforce. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal employment regulations while providing exceptional support throughout the employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced government contracting environment and possess strong organizational, communication, and administrative skills. Must be located near or within surrounding areas of Atlanta/Norcross, Georgia.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track pre-employment background investigations and drug screenings.
- Complete Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification and maintain compliance with federal employment laws.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Coordinate employee badging requests, print and ship badges and maintain badge issuance records.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries regarding policies, procedures, benefits and employment matters.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within ADP Workforce Now and other HR systems.
- Administer employee benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, terminations, and annual open enrollment.
- Coordinate required compliance training assignments (OSHA, anti-harassment, security awareness, and other required training) and monitor completion.
- Maintain OSHA logs and client-required safety documentation, as applicable.
- Track and coordinate the issuance, return, and inventory of company-issued equipment in partnership with IT.
- Assist with drafting, formatting, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, forms, and employee communications.
- Ensure all required employment documentation is collected, maintained, and filed in accordance with company policies and federal regulations.
- Support employee performance review cycles by preparing documentation and tracking completion.
- Assist with internal and external compliance audits by gathering, organizing, and maintaining required documentation.
- Assist with annual benefits audits, insurance renewals, ACA reporting support, company census requests, and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with IT to ensure Microsoft Teams, employee directories, job titles, departments, work locations, and organizational information remain accurate.
- Prepare and submit Monthly Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) reports for applicable states.
- Assist with meeting preparation, scheduling, agendas, and HR departmental initiatives.
- Participate in HR team meetings and contribute to continuous process improvements.
- Assist with applying for, renewing, and maintaining state business licenses and registrations as required.
- Complete government and state agency applications by gathering supporting documentation and monitoring approval status.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail as needed.
- Perform other HR administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 2–3 years of Human Resources administrative or HR Generalist experience.
- Experience supporting a U.S.-based workforce.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance.
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now.
- Current Human Resources certification required (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or another nationally recognized HR certification).
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Teams.
Preferred
- Experience supporting a government contractor or federal workforce.
- Experience with employee onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and HRIS management.
- Experience administering OSHA or workplace safety programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
