Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

COMPENSATION
$33 per hour

CONTRACT TERM
6-month contract with high likelihood of extension/conversion to full-time employee

POSITION OVERVIEW - The Financial Analyst 1 manages credit risk for an assigned portfolio of accounts, using risk assessment tools and financial data to evaluate and recommend credit limits for new and existing customers.

RESPONSIBLITIES
Manage the commercial credit risk for an assigned portfolio of accounts made up of smaller limits and a less complex portfolio mix
Complete credit reviews and assigned tasks on a timely basis
Use credit risk analysis skills along with available risk assessment tools and third-party data to analyze and recommend limits for existing and new account requests
Build relationships with the Customer for periodic financial updates and Sales for forecasts
Follow established procedures and learn existing workflows
Support senior analysts in cross-functional coordination
Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.
Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability and future trends in investment risks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required.
0-2 years financial and/or accounting experience required.
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.
Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.
Basic knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
Experience with D&B reports and other trade data is a plus
Experience with SAP or similar ERP system preferred
Solid Microsoft Office skills (Word & Excel) V-lookup and Pivot tables (Macros a+)
