Shalom Gardens Health & Rehab is looking for a dependable, energetic, and caring Dietary Aide to join our team!

As a Dietary Aide, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents while helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen.
What You’ll DoAs a Dietary Aide, you will support our Dietary Services team with meal preparation, service, sanitation, and overall kitchen operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Prepare dining areas and tables for meal service.
Assist with meal preparation under the direction of the Cook or Dietary Manager.
Prepare resident trays accurately and according to dietary instructions.
Deliver meals and trays to designated dining areas and resident rooms in a timely manner.
Clear tables and collect dishes, trays, utensils, and other items following meals.
Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation and service areas.
Properly dispose of food waste and garbage.
Assist with stocking food, supplies, and other dietary items.
Monitor inventory and notify leadership when supplies are running low.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and facility policies.
Work collaboratively with Dietary, Nursing, and other facility team members to provide an excellent resident experience.
Previous dietary, food service, restaurant, or healthcare experience is preferred.
Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices is a plus.
Ability to follow instructions and resident-specific dietary requirements.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of the position.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Food service or ServSafe certification is a plus.

Compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related considerations. Final compensation may fall outside the posted range where permitted.
