M-F 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | No Weekends
This position is NOT an entry-level Medical Assistant role.
A minimum of FIVE (5) YEARS of recent, hands-on Medical Assistant experience in a physician's office is REQUIRED. Externships, internships, clinical rotations, and less than five years of experience do not meet the minimum qualifications.
Snelling Staffing is recruiting for an Experienced Medical Assistant with a strong background in Telephone Triage for a busy, well-established specialty practice in Mobile, Alabama. Minimum Qualifications
To be considered, applicants MUST have:
- At least 5 years of recent Medical Assistant experience in a physician's office
- Certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Telephone triage experience
- EMR/EHR experience
- Excellent communication, documentation, and patient service skills
Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA) is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform telephone triage and communicate patient concerns to providers
- Assess symptoms and determine appropriate scheduling or follow-up
- Document patient interactions accurately in the EMR
- Assist providers with clinical patient care and documentation
- Deliver compassionate, professional service while managing a high volume of patient calls
