Compensation: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 Annually

Job Summary:
As the Construction Manager I/II/III, you will be responsible for managing construction crews and overseeing assigned projects to ensure work is completed safely, accurately, on schedule, and within budget. You will coordinate with Project Managers, customers, Foremen, subcontractors, and internal teams to manage scheduling, materials, production, quality, and project documentation. Success in this role requires strong field leadership, operational and financial oversight, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple construction projects.
Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
· Manage and coordinate assigned construction crews, train Foremen, monitor performance, and ensure work is performed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
· Coordinate with Project Managers and customers on project scheduling, site coordination, planning, materials, equipment, and field requirements.
· Monitor project budgets, milestones, deliverables, production, and schedules to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
· Review and approve production reports, crew timesheets, invoices, maps, As-Builts, closeout packages, and other required project documentation.
· Enforce company policies and procedures, address employee performance issues, and support interviewing, hiring, training, and development of field personnel.
· Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, specifications, contracts, RFPs, and other technical and project documentation while maintaining quality standards.
· Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs
Required Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Experience
· Experience managing, training, and overseeing construction crews and field operations.
· Experience with aerial and underground telecommunications or utility construction.
· Experience managing project schedules, budgets, production, and field documentation.
Skills and Abilities
· Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, specifications, contracts, RFPs, and technical documentation.
· Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
· Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, scheduling software, and construction/project management systems such as HCSS HeavyBid.
· Ability to perform calculations involving percentages, ratios, proportions, estimates, budgets, profit calculations, and forecasts.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, analyze project information, and make sound operational decisions.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with employees, customers, management, regulatory agencies, and diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
· OSHA 30 certification.
· CPR/First Aid certification.
· Experience managing multiple construction projects or larger-scale construction programs.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying and inclement weather conditions.
· Ability to work around heavy equipment and machinery and maintain visual and audible awareness of crew members, vehicles, equipment, and surrounding work areas.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, squat, climb, kneel, push, pull, lift, twist, and work in physically demanding positions for extended periods.
· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety boots, safety glasses, hard hat, and other applicable safety gear.
Construction Manager Level Differentiation:
Construction Manager I
· Requires general supervision in managing assigned construction projects and crews.
· Possesses the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform essential Construction Manager duties and responsibilities.
· Typically manages smaller or less complex projects and/or a limited span of control.
Construction Manager II
· Requires limited supervision in managing construction projects and crews.
· Demonstrates proven proficiency in project management, crew leadership, budgeting, scheduling, and construction operations.
· Typically manages multiple projects and/or a broader span of control.
Construction Manager III
· Requires minimal supervision and demonstrates advanced proficiency in construction management.
· Demonstrates proven mastery of project, financial, operational, and crew management responsibilities.
· Typically manages larger and/or more complex projects and a broader span of control.
· Provides leadership, training, and guidance to other Construction Managers and field leadership as needed.
