Marketing Assistant
The marketing assistant is a key member of our current clients team, responsible for assisting with the development and execution of marketing and fund development plans that align with the organization’s strategic goals. Reporting to the marketing director, this role requires a well-rounded professional with strengths in event planning, graphic design, social media and visual communications is ideal. This role supports marketing efforts through the creation of compelling communications directed to various audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with special fundraising events and other projects from concept to completion, including communications, event logistics, budgeting, photography, sponsorship outreach, volunteer coordination, and post-event evaluations, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
- Assist in the development and execution of social media and online strategies designed to increase engagement with a variety of geographic and demographic audiences.
- Support public relations efforts, drafting media materials, coordinating outreach, and helping maintain strong relationships with local press and community partners while ensuring their brand is consistently represented through building aesthetics, visual materials, and all external communications.
- Develop high-quality marketing materials, including print collateral, digital assets, and event promotions, that reflect their brand and support organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain efficient and complete document and photography filing system for the marketing department.
- Assist with project scopes, goals, timelines, and deliverables in coordination with the marketing director and executive director.
- Fill in for Receptionist during lunches or vacations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with donor databases or project management software helpful.
- Experience in event planning and stakeholder communications is preferred.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and work occasional evenings/weekends for events.
- Graphic design experience is ideal, including experience with programs such as Microsoft Publisher, Canva, and Adobe InDesign.
- Must pass a caregiver background check as required.
