Machine Setup Technician

GL Staffing is seeking a reliable Machine Setup Technician to join our production team in Miami Gardens. This position is responsible for setting up, configuring, and adjusting production machinery to ensure efficient and safe operation. The ideal candidate will perform equipment changeovers, make machine adjustments, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues to minimize downtime and support production goals.

Location: Miami Gardens

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay rate; $18-$20 p/h

• Set up and configure production machinery for scheduled production runs.
• Adjust machine settings to meet production specifications and quality standards.
• Perform equipment changeovers and line setups between production runs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues to maintain production efficiency.
• Inspect machinery before and during operation to ensure proper performance.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
• Follow all company safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Previous experience setting up production or packaging machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience performing machine changeovers and equipment adjustments.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and production schedules.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
