Primary Care Provider – MD, DO, or Nurse Practitioner

Visiting Docs is seeking a compassionate and experienced Primary Care Provider—MD, DO, or Nurse Practitioner—to join our growing family practice. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Schedule Requirements

Specific schedules will be discussed based on the candidate’s availability and the needs of the practice. Candidates must be available to:

  • Work until 7:00 p.m. on selected weekday shifts

  • Work two Sundays per month from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Position Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services in a family practice setting

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic health conditions

  • Perform routine physicals, preventive care, and health screenings

  • Develop and document appropriate treatment plans

  • Coordinate care with specialists and other members of the healthcare team

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in eClinicalWorks (eCW)

  • Treat patients across a broad age range; providers who do not treat very young children may still be considered

Required Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted New York State license as an MD, DO, or Nurse Practitioner

  • Nurse Practitioners must have completed a minimum of 3,600 clinical practice hours and be eligible to practice independently

  • Must already be actively enrolled and approved as a participating provider with both Medicare and New York State Medicaid

  • Active and unrestricted DEA registration

  • Primary care or family practice experience

  • Strong clinical judgment and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW)

  • Bilingual in Spanish or Creole

  • Experience providing gynecological or women’s health services is a significant plus
